Wholesale RTA Cabinets With Plywood Boxes and Dovetail Drawers
ECG sells wholesale RTA cabinets to the trade: every SKU in four Shaker finishes, flat-packed for lower freight and storage, stocked in Charlotte, NC and delivered in 1–5 days.
What you get
RTA Cabinets Built Like Assembled Cabinets
An RTA cabinet from ECG is the same cabinet as our assembled version, shipped flat. Nothing is downgraded to make it flat-pack.
RTA comes from ready-to-assemble furniture, sold flat-packed and put together where it is used. In ECG RTA cabinets, the drawers are already joined with a dovetail joint, the interlocking wood joint that holds drawer fronts under daily pulling.
- 1/2" premium-grade plywood box, sides and back
- 3/4" plywood adjustable shelves
- 5/8" solid wood dovetail drawers on soft-close glides
- 6-way adjustable soft-close hinges

RTA vs Assembled Cabinets for Trade Buyers
The cabinet is the same. Choose the format by labor, freight and schedule.

|---|---|---|
| Best for | Dealers stocking inventory, crews that assemble in-house, tight delivery access | Contractors short on labor, tight schedules, builders running many units |
| Freight and storage | Flat-packed, smaller footprint in the truck and warehouse | Full-size boxes, more space per cabinet |
| Time on site | Assembly before installation | Ready to install on arrival |
| Box and door | Same 1/2" plywood box and 5-piece solid wood door | Same 1/2" plywood box and 5-piece solid wood door |
| Hardware | Same soft-close hinges and dovetail drawers on soft-close glides | Same soft-close hinges and dovetail drawers on soft-close glides |

FAQ
RTA Cabinet Questions
What does RTA mean?
RTA means ready-to-assemble. The cabinet ships flat-packed and is assembled before installation.
Are RTA cabinets lower quality than assembled?
Not at ECG. RTA and assembled cabinets use the same 1/2" plywood box, solid wood dovetail drawers, soft-close hardware and 5-piece solid wood doors.
Can I mix RTA and assembled in one order?
Yes. Choose "Both" on the quote form and tell us which cabinets you want assembled.
Is there a minimum RTA order?
No. There is no minimum order, and RTA orders are delivered in 1–5 days.
Where can I buy RTA cabinets near me at wholesale?
East Coast Cabinetry Group ships RTA cabinets from Charlotte, NC to 31 states and Washington, DC in 1–5 days, with will-call pickup in Charlotte. Trade buyers open a wholesale account and order with no minimum.
Are ready to assemble cabinets hard to put together?
Not for a crew that has assembled cabinets before. The work is the same on every box: sides, bottom, back, rails, then doors and drawers; one contractor estimate puts a typical kitchen at about 8 hours.
